Jake is 30?

Well, my baby boy is 30! Where does the time go?

The design was inspired by the challenge Simon Says: Layer It.

I layered paper from Modern Times by Ciao Bella 6x6 paper pad, created two small tags from the same collection, added a stencil '0' from the Tim Holtz Thinlits Gift Card Bag to the existing '3', added a piece of Tim Holtz Film Strip with a Mini Paper Clip, stamped a Happy Birthday sentiment to add to the Ornate Plate, a couple of Tim Holtz Reinforcers to the tags and some jute twine.

Celebrate

I used a 'retro' Dymo Label Maker for the CELEBRATE word strip...I'm going to have to see if I can find some black tape, I love the raised embossing. I also used the tiny Thinlits stencil dies from Tim Holtz Gift Card Bag for the hashtag and stars, and the Mini Blueprints, and Things clear stamps.

This CELEBRATE card will come with a VISA Gift Card for a 15 year old boy...I'm sure a 15 year old will love to celebrate with a credit card!

Birthday Treat

We have a lot of birthdays in October and November!  Teenagers can be difficult to shop for, so gift cards save the day! This gift card holder is cut from the Tim Holtz Gift Card Bag Die Set.  The size is absolutely perfect for a gift card!

I stamped the Birthday Cupcake from one of the Tim Holtz Mini Blueprints Clear Stamp sets, and then adhered the little bag to the inside of the birthday card.

This is the front of the card. Oliver likes cats. This cat stamp is from Stampendous, Cling Cattus Librum,  and the dictionary stamp is an old one called Define Your Life.

Birthday Dude

I broke away from the holiday themed projects to make a couple of birthday cards. The first is for a special boy who is turning 13!  I was inspired to add sunglasses to the Tim Holtz Crazy Dogs image because of this recent picture of Corbin with his band mates. In retrospect I should have created the necktie in blue and white!

Anyhow, I cut out an oval to add 13 brand new one dollar bills to the inside of his card. What kid doesn't like to receive money?

Happy 30th Birthday

A couple of challenges for this birthday card for my daughter-in-law.  Her birthday is October 1st and she enjoys Halloween themed cards.  The first challenge is Frilly and Funkie: All Creatures Great and Small.

I used the crow from Tim Holtz Mini Blueprints.

The second challenge is Simon Says: Use More Than One Stencil.

I used the stencil letter dies from Tim Holtz Gift Card Bag, love the hashtag die, and she will be 30 and uses Instagram!  The second stencil is from Tim Holtz Mini Stencil 3 for the brick, with Texture Paste and Distress Ink.

Thanks for stopping by!
