Happy place

One more for the travel theme at Frilly and Funkie: Planes, Trains, and Automobiles.

This is an anniversary card for the same son with the birthday next week.  They recently bought a trailer and take the grandkids camping every chance they get.  I tried to include 'the city' in the background to signify 'getting away from it all', by masking with torn paper before stamping the Tim Holtz City Central image.

The trees are from an old favorite Stampin Up set, Lovely as a Tree. The trailer is from Sunny Studio Happy Camper, and the 'sign' is from Autumn Leaves duly recorded, both purchased for my scrapbooking endeavors.

I blended some Distress Ink and very, very, lightly, nervously, spritzed with water; stamped an extra image of the trailer and colored with Copics, then added to the background.

A little bit cutesy, but oh well...thanks for stopping by!

  2. OH YEAAAAAH!!!
    ADORABLE!!!!
We just purchased a new camper (our FOURTH... *huUGE eyeroll here*)
and this one's BROWN TONES!! Just like your card, which is why it caught my eye on the F&F page.
    Veeeery nicely done!!
Your Son is being a GREAT Dad; his kids will treasure those trips away & then copy it with their own kids . I know this to be true: our Sons have taken up the campin-with-ur-family torch & we just last month all 7 of us met West of Chicago (halfway point for the younger Nuke Engineer Son & Red Wing, MN Teacher Wife/our Daughter). While we decided that place wasn't as great as places further west or north of that... the TIME TOGETHER IS PRICELESS!!!
