Interesting sketch this week, isn't it? Sadly it is the last Tuesday of the month and thus the last of our great sketches from the fabulous Kim Kesti. We've had a lot of fun this month with Kim's great sketches...and Kim is doing a tutorial and also has a giveaway...check it out here.
I chose to turn this sketch into a tag for an upcoming wedding:
Interesting color choice for the cake, but I was trying to match the invitation colors. I used the cake from the You Know You're Gettin' Old Birthday set...I'm thinking we need to have a wedding set with this cake, what do ya think?
Here's the back side of the tag, using Sentiment Frames again:

Milkbone underwear...
"It's a dog eat dog world...and I'm wearing milkbone underwear". I made this card for a guy at work who's had some tough times recently...he'll appreciate the humor!
The inspiration came from Embellish-Patterned Paper Challenge:
I used the sketch from Mojo Monday 200 - quite the milestone!
New Blog In Town

Feature Friday-Like a fine wine...
" Like a fine wine we get better with age...or rather, we feel better about our age with lots of wine!"
I purchased this set, Margarita Birthday, along with You Know You're Gettin' Old Birthday set when I was first introduced to Skipping Stones Design. The sentiments are just hilarious with both sets...and I've used them both for many birthdays, male and female. Super quick and easy!

Skipping Stones Design #85 - Get Well Grunge
Hi there and welcome to Skipping Stones Design Sketch Tuesday #85. We are using this cute sketch from Kim Kesti:
Kim has had some fun sketches for us this month! Be sure to play along at Skipping Stones Design and use SSD 85 if you link to any on-line galleries.
I had purchased these clear buttons quite some time ago and had never had the opportunity to use them. Since they are 1" square, I thought 'perfect'. So, I stamped some great images from Skipping Stones Design Grunge set on different colored card stock, added some decorative tape my son gave me for Christmas this year, some baker's twine, and voila! What do you think?
Recipe:
Stamps: SSD-Grunge
CS: Provo Craft, SU
Ink: SU, Tim Holtz Distress
Tape Runner: Ribbon Doilies by Basic Grey

Mojo Moxie Fab-You're fabulous Dahling!
As soon as I saw the Trigger Tuesday post at Moxie Fab this week I thought of the fabulous shoes and purses from Skipping Stones Design. I had a little more trouble figuring out what to do with the background paper, but then I thought of the Timeless Textures set and made my own. I also resisted using that pink and green in the background, but I'm really happy with how it turned out. Here's the color inspiration:
Don't you just love the big black buttons on that yellow? Totally reminds me of a suit I used to have, but it had a black and white striped pleated skirt that went with it...oh the memories! LOL Anyhow, you can find a link to the Tuesday Trigger post here.
And for the sketch layout I chose one of my favorite sites Mojo Monday: (#199)

I believe in you
This is a card I threw together last night for OWH (Operation Write Home), not for a sketch challenge or anything, just a card to send for a member of our troops to be able to send to a loved one. I thought the sentiment might be one that was versatile enough and went well with the dragonfly. I like to keep them CAS so they are easily mailed.
I also thought it might be a good card for Moxie Fab World - Fanatical about Botanical.

Dude
I think this Skipping Stones Design set is just adorable, and I love pairing it with the book page I found in a discarded Almanac...did you see the reference to Dog Days? Anyhow this was submitted for a challenge to make a Boy Card and was based on the SSD 82 sketch from a of couple weeks ago.
Dude-Happy Birthday

Skipping Stones Design #83 and CR84FN #33
This one is kind of funny, I was going to name it Green Birthday Donuts...I know, it's not green and there are no donuts...but I used the cute little cupcake from Green Birthday and the hilarious sentiment from Birthday Donuts...I just love that sentiment! Probably because it's been a long time since I was 29 and a long time since I weighed 110 pounds!
I have trouble with CAS cards...I always feel like there is something missing...but here's the first of many great sketches this month from the very talented Kim Kesti:
Please join us at Skipping Stones Design for the Tuesday Sketch Challenge....oh, and FREE SHIPPING!
And here's the inspiration for the colors from the gang over at CR84FN:
