Lavender Cheesecake

This birthday card for my good friend was inspired first by the current challenge at Frilly and Funkie: Bloomin' Marvelous, and then by the following photo on Pinterest of Honey Lavender Cheesecake.
Yummy, right?

I had a bit of a hard time getting the colors of the card to show correctly, here is a different angle.

I started by adding some texture paste to a Tim Holtz Mini Stencil (Set 10) and after it dried, colored with chalk. I cut the Dainty Doily from QuicKutz die, added some sheer ribbon, and cut a couple of Mini Tags from Taylored Dies. The little butterfly is from a Stampendous Floral set.

I thought about making the Honey Lavender Cheesecake for her birthday to go with the card, but she is the dessert queen on our block, so I'll have to give it some thought!

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Soft and Pretty! Lovely use of the colors inspired by the lavender cheesecake. Thanks for joining us in the Frilly and Funkie "Bloomin' Marvelous" challenge!

  2. I love the way you colored the stencil here and the butterfly and doily. Simple and perfect layering that really make a statement. Thank you so much for sharing with us at Frilly and Funkie. Big hugs, Autumn

  3. I missed this one, but it is so pretty! I love the soft lavender. Gorgeous flowers and butterfly! Hugs!
