Today is my oldest son's birthday - he's a little on the non-traditional side...well they all are somewhat...but I thought he'd appreciate this card using Tim Holtz stamps. The paper is from the Urban Ink collection of Dream Street Papers called Shockwave, and I love the way the stamped image of the eye fit right into the swirled circle on the paper...now I need to go back to the LSS to see if they have any of that paper left! It was on clearance at the time, so I'm sure it's all gone! But since I need to 'shop small' that's all the excuse I need to stop in there to look around. The inside of the card uses a Tim Holtz stamp and the 'Happy Birthday' comes from the Skipping Stones Design set called Grunge. I was surprised how well the font matched.
The monthly challenge over at the Stampendous Blog is to use chipboard...this card uses Tim Holtz Grungeboard, but I thought that qualified.
Thanks for stopping by, always love hearing from you!
Hi, Barb! Really nice card for your son! Love the "disorderly" sentiment on the front tag!
ReplyDeleteWow! Barb, I would be at my LSS first thing in the morning to look for that paper! FAB card and that eye really fit perfectly! I'll bet he LOVED this card!
ReplyDeleteSo so cool!!!
ReplyDeleteLove your monochromatic card Barb! Thanks for playing along with the Stampendous Monthly Challenge.
ReplyDeleteGrunge board absolutely qualifies, and we love your creativity, Barbara! The touch of board on here really lends texture to the piece. Great job!
