SSD048-Take Two

Ok, so I made a card for Sketch Tuesday with this awesome sketch challenge from Karen Giron and I was totally disappointed in the way it turned out (and especially the way it photographed) so I decided to try again.  This is 'Take Two':

I used two of the brand new sets, Grunge and Cancer Schmancer, and the musical score is from a fairly recent favorite Timeless Textures.  You can check out all the sets here.  And don't forget, $4 from every set sold of Cancer Schmancer this month goes to Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Research.

So check out the fabulous creations of the other Stamp Tramps, visit the store, and be sure to play along with the sketch challenge this week...and tell a friend!  (You can also find Skipping Stones Design on Facebook!)

 Happy Tuesday!

SSD048-Dandelion Grunge

Guess what?  It's Tuesday, and that means another fabulous sketch from Karen Giron.  Head on over to Skipping Stones Design to play along...my take is slightly different from the sketch...going for the window effect.

I used the woodgrain background stamp, the paint splatters, and the Happy Birthday sentiment from the new set Grunge, and the flowers are from Dandelion Dreams.  (The sentiment was intentionally hung crooked to mimic the kids taking matters into their own hands and hammering nails into the wall!)  The 'curtains' are from an old transparency which doesn't photograph very well.

SSD047-Sketch Tuesday

It's Sketch Tuesday at Skipping Stones Design with another wonderful sketch from Karen Giron.  I used the newly released Grunge set for the woodgrain and the metal look background and the 'TOUGH GUY' part of the sentiment, Tough Guy stamp set for the circle '100% Tough Guy' image, and Bras #2 for the 'Hang in there' part of the sentiment.

We'd love to have you play along and link your card for a chance to win 50% off any Skipping Stones Design stamp set.

Cancer Schmancer Release

Hi there!  It's the 15th!  Are you ready for the latest release blog hop from Skipping Stones Design?  If you've happened upon this post by accident you can start the Cancer Schmancer Blog Hop at Skipping Stones Design home page.  If you're already following the hop you should have arrived here from Brenda's blog, Sweet Paper Treats.  The Stamp Tramps are all super excited about both of these new release sets, but since it is Breast Cancer Awareness month, we are featuring this awesome set.

Also, think of what you can do with this fabulous set called 'Grunge':
I don't know if you saw how much was raised for our first ever 'Blogs 4 Boobies Fun(d)raiser' but it was over $1000!  And now, every sale of the Cancer Schmancer set will result in $4 donation to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

So follow the hop and enjoy the ride, next stop is Ann Kranitz at her Stamp with Me blog...and after all the inspiration, check back in with Skipping Stones Design and play along with this great sketch challenge from Karen Giron (don't forget to use SSD 046 if you link to any other posts):

And please leave comments!  I love hearing from you!

Haunt

Our Stampin' Up group is meeting today for the first time in what seems like forever, and our challenge blog called for a Halloween card using a Stampin' Up set.  This turned out pretty cute in real life, but I could NOT get the photo to show true on the yellow!  Oh well, this is from a retired set called Home is Where the Haunt Is...I love the little flying witch.

SSD045-Halloweenie and 'Boo' Treat

This month our weekly sketch challenge inspiration is provided by Karen Giron, who also heads up Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge at her blog The Sweetest Thing.  The cute little stamp set is from Skipping Stones Desgin called Halloweenie.  It comes with a cute little 'Boo' poem to use for neighbor treats:
Someone who thinks you're very dear, has "BOO"ed you with Halloween cheer.  Now take this note & make a copy or two, add fun & treats, any goodies will do.  Leave it on their stoop & make it quick, keep your "Boo"ing a secret, that's the trick.   By H.Timmins

I also like this for the color challenge at There She Goes.

WCMD - Skipping Stones Design Blog Hop

This is my addition to the Skipping Stones Design Blog Hop to celebrate World Card Making Day.  You should have come here from visiting Gladys Chia, if not, you can start the blog hop and find a listing of blog participants at Skipping Stones Design.

I just fell in love with these cute little clothespins and thought this stamp set, Bras Vol. 2, went with them perfectly.

Since October is also Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and I am a recent breast cancer survivor, I can especially relate to this sentiment since my wonderful friends and neighbors were so supportive during my treatment.

Now, don't forget to leave a comment (I'm sure there's some Blog Candy along the way) and then hop on over to see what Tammie at Always Inking has in store for you...Enjoy!

Oh, and don't forget to check out the Word of Mouth Contest
You could win $150 worth of Skipping Stones Design merchandise for yourself and for the person who referred you (or the person you refer, works both ways).   Just think of all the fabulous cards you could make!!!!!
