It's Thursday (Barb here) and time for another Tips and Tricks Thursday with Skipping Stones Design. This is something I hadn't tried before but I saw it in a magazine and liked the look.
Here are the supplies I used:
Spellbinders Metal Sheets
Foam Pad, Stylus, StazOn Ink
Skipping Stones Design-Timeless Textures Stamp
First, cut a piece of the metal sheet to the size you want. Turn the sheet to the back side and stamp your image with StazOn.
With the back side facing up, place the metal sheet on the foam pad, and using your stylus, trace the image created by your stamp.
Turn to the right side.
Adhere to a piece of cardstock.
And embellish as you wish. I used silver embossing powder with a sentiment from Sentiment Frames, and the musical background stamp from Timeless Textures with some Tim Holtz distress ink. So, find a stamp and give it a try. Check out some great stamp sets at Skipping Stones Design.

SSD060 - Purses by Skipping Stones Design
I just love Heather's cute little sentiments that come with these fun sets, and they are so true when you get to be my age... see what I mean!
This is called a Key Finder...and it hangs on the side of your purse!
Most of the paper I used is from Stampin' Up Patterns Pack in Wild Wasabi except for the purse and handle which I think were from Bo Bunny. It was designed using this great sketch from Amy Sheffer so be sure to play along this week at Skipping Stones Sketch Tuesday.
Thanks for stopping by!

Skipping Stones for Katie
This is for Color Throwdown #124 for Katie Renz who is battling gastric cancer. The stamp set is from Skipping Stones Design Cancer Schmancer. I found this cute boot print ribbon at a local scrapbook store that recently went out of business. We were asked to make a card using Mambo Melon, Espresso, and Soft Sky...and then to mail the cards to Katie at:
Katie Renz
P.O. Box 5913
Bellingham, WA 98227-5913
I wish Katie the best. Being a Breast Cancer Survivor myself, I'm sure these cards will bring her joy.
See the original post from Color Throwdown here.
I love the Soft Sky, you can see a little more of it here in the background.

Sketch Tuesday #58 at Skipping Stones Design
Hi there! It's Tuesday again and time for another Sketch Tuesday at Skipping Stones Design. I used the great background stamps from Grunge...love the wood grain and I stamped the scallop design onto a round chipboard piece to mimic a golf ball. Our Guest Sketch Artist for January is Amy Sheffer, you can read a little about Amy at Skipping Stones Design Meet and Greet Monday. Here is the great sketch for you to play along this week: |
