Memory Book Pages
I don't know if any of you remember me mentioning a close friend who lost her son in a boating accident, but he died two days before his 36th birthday. His daughter wanted to release some balloons and have a cake to remember his birthday...these two pages are for a memory book I am helping my friend with for her granddaughter. I wanted to keep them simple and on the masculine side. I love how the stamped sentiment ends 'I am the soft stars that shine at night'...I had purchased this paper for the birthday theme on the reverse side but thought it was a little too 'happy' and ended up liking this side better.

It's never too late...
AMC11 -About Me Challenge for Soul Scrappers - It's never too late to...be yourself. (Even if you're too vain to show your bald pictures.) I tried to make the layout work with pink for the Breast Cancer theme, but these colors are just so 'me'! I also tried to fit the 2nd page layout with a challenge from Scrap it with a song #7, 'to use lyrics from 'I Hope you Dance'... "May you never take one single breath for granted'; but I was too late to submit it...had to be in by noon today. Oh well, the two really went hand in hand so I'm glad I got motivated to do both pages. This chronicles a year worth of breast cancer treatment...I almost got brave enough to post my 'bald' pictures but chickened out and made a 'waterfall card' feature. Now they are there, but you have to pull the cord to see them! I was so excited to finally get my Commit2Paper order in the mail...this is from the October 2009 kit.

Baroque Charm
Cute & Some Challenge #9 - Stamped Image, Ribbon, Charm
This wasn't quite what I envisioned when I first saw the sample, but my original idea was just too similar, then it got to be Thursday night and since I don't get home from work till about 7:00 Mountain Time I thought I'd better keep it simple...so there you go!
