Christmas Tag #6 (or #9!) 2017

This is my Tag #6 but it was inspired by week #9 of The Funkie Junkie: 2017 Challenge. I must say I was a little disappointed in how this one turned out after being so inspired by Linda's tag for week 9. But since today is the last day to submit for the challenge I decided to post it anyhow so I could at least say I made it half way! I don't work that well under pressure LOL!  I did get to use my Weathered White Embossing Powder I ordered last year though!

Anyhow, I had fun with the ones I created and look forward to joining in on the fun challenges over at Frilly and Funkie.

I hope everyone had a fun, peaceful, holiday and look forward to what the new year brings!

Christmas Tag #5 2017

I was able to pull out another stamp which I purchased years ago, and oddly enough never used! I really need to do better about using what I have, but the new stuff is so much fun!

The inspiration from week 5 of The Funkie Junkie 2017 Christmas Challenge comes from the Santa image offset on the tag and the postmark.  Again, I used Tim Holtz Festive Greens for the Holly and the Pine Cones.

Well, I'm getting down to the wire for posting these for the challenge, and I was only able to get 6 of them done this year...I am determined to start earlier next year!  We were traveling (Italy and Greece) in October, figured we'd better do it while we can still enjoy, after Hubby's heart surgery this year!

Christmas Tag #4 2017

The little vintage Christmas ad is another little 'freebie' thank you gift for placing an order at The Funkie Junkie Boutique.  And I'm sure you recognize the great little bow from Tim Holtz Festive Greens by now...can you tell how much I like it? The mistletoe die is also from that set.

Anyhow, this is for week 4 of The Funkie Junkie: 2017 Challenge.  Love the silhouettes of the Victorian Carolers that Linda used but alas, I can't order everything I like! This image is from Cricut which I definitely don't use enough! I did enjoy pulling out one of my Tim Holtz Mini Stencils for the faux brick background.

Christmas Tag #3 2017

I loved the large letters Linda used in her 3rd week of The Funkie Junkie: 2017 Challenge so I quickly grabbed this stamp to make a tag to go with my wrapping paper.  (It's for a camp light for my son...get it? Merry & Bright?  Anyhow, then I thought that was a little too easy so I went back to work on the little panel below.

The sweet little snowman charm is a 'surprise gift' from placing an order at The Funkie Junkie Boutique

The stripe is from Tim Holtz Mini Stencil and the bow is from Tim Holtz Festive Greens.

Christmas Tag #2 2017

I took my inspiration from the 2nd week of The Funkie Junkie 12 Tags of Christmas from the lovely background.  I loved playing with my new stencils from Tim Holtz to recreate Linda's background for this little New Years panel.

I've had this little stamp for ages, don't remember the brand even, as it's an unmounted red rubber.  I love using the mini cork with this image though!

Christmas Tag #1 2017

Well, I have no idea what took me so long to get started with Linda's Christmas challenge this year! Here is the link to Linda's first tag at The Funkie Junkie Blog.  I had so much fun creating the tags for last year, and I was lucky enough to be the randomly chosen winner last year!

My son and his wife asked for an annual Family Zoo Pass this year for Christmas and the color scheme was a perfect match! So I made a little box from heavy cardstock which was a perfect fit!

I took my inspiration from the color scheme and the deer.  I had fun using the new Tim Holtz Festive Greens Thinlits die set (purchased from The Funkie Junkie Boutique.)  I used the bow and pine cones on several of my tags this year!
