Hello mouse...cute companion...

So, here's the third little mouse in the Cute Companion Duo set from Crafter's Companion., I couldn't ink up the other two and leave this one out!  This one is actually for three different challenges.

Sending a rainbow-Cute Companions

I don't know if any of you remember seeing a tag I posted a few weeks ago, but this is another one of the cute little mice in Cute Companions Duo and I'm entering it in the July 'Anything Goes' challenge at Crafter's Companion.  You just have to use a stamp from Crafter's Companion to enter.  This is the only set I have so far, but they've got some really cute whimsical ones (Beatrix Potter and Fairies) and some new ones with that gorgeous Bleeding Cowboy font.  I don't color images very often...haven't had enough practice, but as soon as I saw the little mouse with the paintbrush I thought of him painting a rainbow.  The rainbow and sentiment are from some rub ons I had laying around from It Takes Two...don't even remember where I picked it up!

Here's the other little mouse tag, and I've got one more to post later today...

Be Happy. It's one way of being wise.

It seems like I've been using a lot of this color combination lately...must be my 'happy summer' color combo this year.  I cut this little tag out of a paper strip from My Mind's Eye collection I picked up at a Scrapbook Expo a couple of years ago and then forgot about...hate it when I do that!  Anyhow I was excited to use the little tape strip from 7 Gypsies that just happened to have a 'Happiness' definition on it...and the cute little banner stamp was from a Dollar find at Michaels...so lots of old stuff to make this little card for a co-worker who is leaving us...so sad to see her go!  Thanks for stopping by, I hope your summer is happy!

All about citrus...let's get fruity!

A couple of summer themed challenges...'July is All About Citrus' over at Stampendous, and also 'Let's Get Fruity' over at Simon Says Stamp Challenge.  I told a friend at work I would make a card for her sister's birthday and she likes Margaritas so the lime fit in perfectly with the citrus fruit theme!  I used a little of the Stampendous Embossing Enamel (without embossing it) for the salt on the rim of the glass.

Here's the whole card...

The sentiment came out a little blurry (looks like I've had a couple of those Margaritas!) but I wanted you to see the cute little plastic button and the mesh ribbon I picked up last week at the local craft store.  I used  a border punch on the striped paper on the lower edge, a little hard to see.  I love little paper doilies, but I have a hard time fitting them in with some of the cards as they go together...

I do love the sentiments with Skipping Stones Design-Margarita Birthday.

It's one of the first sets I bought...have a fruity summer!

Home of the Free...Mojo SSD

I really liked this Mojo Monday Sketch 248.  I had a couple of different ideas for it but ran out of time...so I combined it with this Inspiration Challenge 135 from Skipping Stones Design.

And, not for a challenge, but to include in my Operation Write Home box, I made this card for what they term an 'Any Hero Card'.  Most of the cards donated to Operation Write Home are sent to the men and women of the Armed Forces so they can send them home to their loved ones...but OWH also collects 'Any Hero Cards' with a handwritten sentiment thanking them for their service, especially for those who don't otherwise receive much mail...so without further ado...

The Home of the Brave stamp is from Skipping Stones Design and the mini tag stamp is from Stampin' Up.

Handmade...Simon Says and Crafter's Companion

Hi there - I've combined two challenges with this little tag...doesn't she just remind you of one of the little mice that made Cinderella's dress?  But I thought it would make a great gift tag to accompany a handmade gift for someone special.

1. Simon says...Tags or ATC's

Tim Holtz is a big tag and ATC inspiration, and on this tag I used a couple Tim Holtz products:
Fragment Charm
Grungeboard Heart (colored with Copic)
Distress Inks

2. Crafter's Companion...Anything goes

The 'Anything Goes Challenge' requires you use a stamp from Crafter's Companion, I chose this darling little Companion Duo set called Cute Duo's-Crafting Companions.  I had a lot of fun with this set, I may have to ink up another one ~ thanks so much for stopping by!
